Élodie is a final year student of Biomedical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal who has been part of the Ultrasound Laboratory since May 2020. A new recent technique, called ultrasound localization microscopy, has improved the spatial resolution of vascular images, as well as allowed mapping velocities over a wide dynamic range. Despite the physical constraints of the technique, it has recently shown that we can maintain high resolution using neural networks on static images. Élodie's project consists in generalizing this approach to dynamic acquisitions and validating the approach with in vivo data from rat brains.
