Jean-François Martin

Intern from October 2019 to May 2020

Project

Acoustic lens for brain imaging

Funding

.UPIR scholarship from Polytechnique Montréal

Jean-François was a 3rd year undergraduate student in engineering physics at Polytechnique Montréal when he joined the laboratory in October 2019 to complete his research project funded by the UPIR scholarship from Polytechnique. His project was to design and construct an acoustic lens that would optimize brain imaging. It involved the design, assembly and validation of the lens through organic samples. In addition, the goal of this study was to produce a program capable of generating custom lenses for multiple uses. His internship ended in May 2020: since then, he has continued his studies at Polytechnique in the 4th year of engineering physics.
