Intern from May to August 2024

Project

Biomarker studies to quantify blood-brain barrier opening.

Funding

TransMedTech Institute undergraduate research internship scholarship

Louis recently completed his second year in biomedical engineering. He is doing his first research internship in a laboratory to learn more about medical imaging technologies and discover the world of biomedical engineering research. He is currently working on establishing and developing algorithms to study and quantify the effect of several biomarkers on the opening of the blood-brain barrier. He is also working on aberration correction to improve ultrasound image quality.
